Nalini Raghunandan dreamt of writing a diverse children’s picture book series. On March 22, 2017, she finally realized that dream with the first book in an early reader series—Fanny the Champ.
On November 6, 2019—Fanny Saved the Day was published—another great adventure full of brilliant and lively illustrations. She is working on Book 3.
Nalini was born in Skeldon Guyana. She graduated from Cyril Potter of Education and Toronto school of Business. Before moving into telecommunications, she was an Elementary Schoolteacher and Early Childhood Educator for 15 years—both in Guyana and Jamaica—where she developed a passion for spreading the love of literacy and cultural diversity.
